Sufferer So Hard

Lately Ive been having so many issues with my anxiety being so bad. I was doing so good, even off my meds....but it seems like its building and building. I dont want to feel like a zombie when I take it. Any help is appreciated!

I don't have any experience with medications. My older brother, who experienced a similar childhood to mine, is struggling being on medications as well. I see how hard it is for him sometimes. And then most of the time they seem to really help him.

I'm sorry you are going through that.

I always like to hold on to the periods of time that I was doing really well. That means that I can do well again. I tell myself, when overwhelmed, that it is temporary. "This will pass"

It Will pass. Hang in there.

I look at each incidence and ask if there is anything I can do about the situation. If I can I will if not then I will recognize my anxiety and ask what can I do about the anxiety. I find writing helps me or doing something physical.

Maybe just trying a different medication that does not make you feel like a zombie. It really depends on how bad your anxiety is right now. Of course exercise helps.

Hi Feeling Alone,

Welcome to MyPTSD forum!

Anxiety can build, especially if something isn't done to break the spiral. Exercise, meditation, yoga, and a variety of stress reduction methods can help in the management of anxiety. There are several threads and posts that address this and I hope you find something in them helpful.

Wishing you the best.

Debbie
