Because of the chronic daily body pain in combination with the migraines. But, I'm worried. About the side effects. And, having a narcotic in my possession. Not that I'm not allowed to, but these days, just having one in my house. I hold hope it works because everything else in all these years has failedand I'm so frustrated. Any feedback?

Lyrica isn't a narcotic; it's an anti-convulsant. I've never taken it, so that's about all I can contribute.

I have a friend who takes Lyrica for her Multiple Sclerosis pain. It can be very helpful but it can also have some dangerous side effects. At the higher dose this drug nearly cost my friend her life when it brought on suicidal thoughts that she couldn't deal with. She's still on the med just at a much lower dose and now we know what the warning signs are if the depression comes back.

Be aware that depression and suicidal ideation are side effects and have a plan in place for if it does start to happen. Please also make sure your docs know all the meds you take including herbs and supplement.

I hope the meds help. Chronic pain is so demoralizing. Please be careful.
