So yeah, loved the original as it scared the crap out of me as a kid.

Saw the remake today and loved it!

I will say that it touched on molestation and those moments were the "scariest" for me.

The jump scenes startled me and OMG am I feeling it now! This is why I don't watch horror movies. Being startled? No thank you. I guess I have a few years to gear up for chapter 2!

Really anxious, cancelling activities for tomorrow. I can't sleep. Hmm. What was I thinking?!?

Omfg same here! It was such a well done movie. I wish I could've appreciated it fully. I had to bail after that creepy scene with Beverly's dad and the tampons. Maybe one day when I am less emotionally reactive I can watch it all the way through and enjoy it for what it is.

Saw the orginal at such a young age that I became horribly afraid of clowns. My mom had a clown that looked just like Pennywise that my brother would chase me around with it. One of my abusers saw this and decided it would be fun to "have some fun" with that terror and would dress up like a clown mocking Pennywise. Saw IT's Back and hated it just as much. I am still horribly terrified of clowns that I will do anything and go anywhere to avoid it and seeing them in stores make me go into an insane panic. And I adore horror movies.

So, yeah, won't be seeing this verison of IT.

I cannot stand clowns. I know how you feel. The first one scared the crap out of me. I do not think I am going to watch the new one.

I stopped paying folks to scare the shit out of me many years ago. I used to love that kind of stuff in my teens and early twenties, but my nervous system couldn't handle the overload any longer. I can't hang with purposefully draining my tank like that anymore. Apparently many people dig it big time based on the dollar signs I saw associated with the box office sales. That's a whole lot of current-$ee flowing towards that kind of inner-chi. Boo!!! lol
