Here are two papers, the first is on the use of MDMA (and the history of it) for psychotherapy (http://psy.swansea.ac.uk/staff/parrott/parrott2007-MDMA-Psychotherapy-Psychopharmacology.pdf), the other is a trial with women with PTSD ([DLMURL]http://www.maps.org/mdma/spain_MDMA_JOPD.pdf[/DLMURL]). The fact that MDMA can have a serotoninergic action (post-use or post-chronic use) might be an issue with the widespread adoption of SSRI's, but there are bigger issues that would stop it (the DEA scheduling it, over the protests of the psychotherapists, et al, in the same class as Heroin & Cocaine for one).
