Hopefully Tapatalk pull their finger out of their arse, and get cracking with https, as more and more websites are being forced to shift to it due to stop external disruptions and SQL injections, JS injections, etc... disrupting larger websites. Some people are just disgruntled, you can buy such services to attack your competitors websites, causing disruption... everything is available these days. True hackers who can hack servers... they usually have better things to do, and don't do petty stuff that is going to send them to jail... they usually make it worth their while, even live in countries that have zero laws for electronic fraud / deportation.
The forumrunner error is likely due to https... but you can use it to browse and post, ignore the error when it appears.
Xenforo will be releasing a default mobile skin for use, which is different from a native phone application, which will be 100% friendly regardless http or https. But all good things take time unfortunately.
The problem right now with mobile skins is the way Xenforo handles them, which XF are fixing... but they are also fighting a legal battle right now as well from Vbulletin... as the developer of XF is the ex developer of Vbulletin software, and Vbulletin software is falling to the dogs rapidly, XF is taking off as the new leader in forum software... so they are a little disgruntled and have zero real claims, just trying to break a new startup... but that is being dealt with swiftly by XF, yet also detracts them from working on the software with improvements.
Just one of those things with something so instantly popular. Others get jealous... There legal issues should be finished this month, if all goes well for them, so further improvements will be out, hopefully tackling this mobile skin issue.
For this forum though... unfortunately I cannot afford to not go https any longer, as people find this forum obviously a threat, want to cause disruption to it... so I must take steps to stop it, which https does.
Unfortunately, with any change, especially https, it causes some issues to arise which have to be worked out, and take time to achieve adequate solutions for.
Mobile has not been forgotten about though, and I will have a solution that is https friendly in the near future, regardless what occurs with something like Tapatalk.
