Tea Lovers, What Is Your Favorite Tea?

Thank you Blackbird and Albatross! :) I believe that one of the tea's that i bought has Jasmine in it. I'll have to look for hibiscus and plum. Interesting. Maybe even I'd like it. Sometimes I will have tea, but I haven't in years, definitely not an expert. I'll have to give him the recipe for the plum one.

Also I've read that there are properties in chamomile that mimic anti anxiety medication so it's very soothing..
Indeed, chamomile is excellent for a soothing tea. Kava-kava is another great one for anxiety, not as easy to find though- if Yogi brand is sold in your area, the 'stress relief' blend is a good one. If anyone else gets 'stress belly', one bag of chamomile and one bag of anise tea brewed together help me a lot. Anise is a bit like black licorice so it's not too popular- I get mine from a Middle Eastern market.

Excellent choice on the Twinings- I've tried quite a few of their teas and liked them all. I'm not sure if they do the same flavors every year, but the 'seasonal' line from Celestial Seasoning had a sugarplum flavor last year that was delightful. Bigelowe does a few festive blends as well if you're looking for variety. Tempted to try the PG since so many people mentioned it, but I've always bought the Red Rose black tea. It comes with a tiny figurine in every box, grandpa and his mother started my collection as soon as I was old enough not to choke on them.

@Spiderallis Thank you for your suggestions. I know that tea is much better for what I call an icky tummy then coffee and I might have to try your remedy.

We got our t's from Twinings yesterday. Can't wait until we can give it to him.

All the tea is wrapped and ready to be given. I can't wait. I'm sure he'll be happy. Especially when I tell him the story of getting help from all of you!

Thank you all once again for the great ideas! I would have been lost without you.

Everyone, the tea sampler was a hit. Thank you for the ideas. The only thing I added differently, in addition, was an irish blend. Had to do that, it is my ancestry. Other then that I employed all the flavors that you all suggested. He is looking forward to trying each and every one of them! Very good gift for a man who has everything. He loved the suggestions! He only drank two yesterday. He said it should last him 6 months all the flavors I bought him.

@Ayesha @Leah123 He tried both the PG tips and the Jasmine and said they were both wonderful. He commented a couple times on the PG tips. I think he was surprised that a plain black tea was that good. Thank you both again. I'm glad they made him happy.

Dilmah black tea, in loose leaf. Must have loose leaf tea in a proper teapot. Vintage Swan brand aluminium teapots are wonderful for keeping the heat and wonderful to pour from. Must have fine gone china cup or mugs. Haktari mugs are lovey to drink from and never grate on your teeth.
