The Return of AI

anthony

Founder
I am in the process of testing a new AI system, one that is not dependent upon OpenAI and their ridiculous policies and procedures for those using it via API vs allowing people to do the exact same thing on their public system without consequence. I will be testing other AI models, and can easily flip between them if necessary. I will have to reenter programming and play around with many things to work out issues and such.

Hopefully it works out as intended. I will perform some initial testing myself, then bring some members into it to test further, then once as many issues are worked out as possible, open it up to both public and private posting.

I can do that, yes, but right now, I am just testing in the introduction topic. In that specific situation, the AI is set to 1 comment per post and then nothing further, no quote or @ calling it in that topic.

I will bring back the coaching, member and private AI topics when I'm happy with things. I may introduce a global one that is only called specifically, so you can call it to interact with content. Then again, if I do that, I may leave the coaching one dead as it can be called anywhere.

The life coaching AI topic has returned, so please test the hell out of it and see what pops. I may remove that topic again and instead just allow the bot to be called into any thread for advice.

Important

You should read the AI Therapy help page to understand the bots in use and their differences. There is a reason why the AI specific forums exist, which is explained in this document. When people ask questions on how to do these things, I recommend you link them to that page to fully understand the nuances.

Hi Anthony,
Is it programmed as a trauma therapist this time?
I just read one of the new threads and find the tone incredibly flippant and superficial and kind of tone deaf.
The old Dr Catalyst was so much more thoughtful, empathetic, nuanced and more careful in its suggestions.

Right now, consider it all in testing. This is not supposed to be identical, it is evolved, trying new and different things. The problem with speech is that I need to find a balance between complicated and more simple language output. Yes, it will require tweaking.

Instead of reading, please try them all out and test them for yourself, as they are not all the same, with completely different programming. I can make Catalyst a stick in the mud psychiatrist if needed, but I am trying to find balance within complexity, language, simplicity in language that people actually understand, simple speak, so to speak.

You seem to find simple speak as flippant though, which is not what I read in reading the post. Maybe others do, maybe they find it easy, but time and testing will tell. Testing. Adjustment. Balance.

Hmm, no, I really mean flippant, not "simple". Saying stuff like "Hey no sweat!" about trauma concerns sounds to me more like some surfer dude is talking in bro-speak, as opposed to a trauma therapist keeping language simple... Also the pace and high-energy level just feels really strange in a trauma therapy context. I'll try and find some time on the weekend to test it myself tho...
