I like watching Man V Food!

I am watching that now :roflmao:

The food just looks so bleugh. He is eating a very very very hot curry at the moment, so taste buds dead and sweat is dripping. What is the point in that ? I just don't get it.

Talk about abuse your body ;) and I just cannot believe the size of the meals in the USA, even for fast food. you certainly get value for money. His one meal would keep me going for a week :)

I watch out of pure morbid curiosity.

best wishes
Saffy :)

Yes heather, I cannot believe what this man will eat, but then I suppose that is the point of the programme :roflmao:

I hope he has good medical advice though, he never seems to put on a lot of weight considering, but then his arteries must be a tad clogged ;).

I hope no one is fooled in thinking that you will not get that fat or have health problems on all this junk food

I saw the one with about two pound of mince with about a pound of chips and cheese, It did not look appetising

best wishes
Saffy :)

I like watching Man V Food!
Me too! :D He ate these hot wings once..oh my.

What is the point in that ? I just don't get it.
It's for entertainment! Nothing like watching someone stuff their face with either large amounts of food or stuff that's so hot you wonder how they can taste anything after. :)

I hope no one is fooled in thinking that you will not get that fat or have health problems on all this junk food
I would think people know that you can eat junk food and burgers sometimes. The key is not to eat that way all the time. It should be something to splurge on rather than your everyday diet. Some people forget that though and it does become their diet. Then comes the obesity and clogged arteries.

There are loads of Man v Food stuff on YouTube but I don't know what episode Heather meant, they all seem the same to me.

I just cannot believe the size of the meals in the USA,

I know what you mean Saffy and not all Americans eat that way of course. I have family in California who are coming over here in March. My sister visited them a while ago and they even went out for breakfast which was massive!

I don't know what they will think when they come here. I want to take them for afternoon tea at one of our local National Trust properties. Now that's what I call food!

(Afternoon tea includes a sandwich and cake selection, usually with scones, jam (jelly) and cream and a pot of tea).

I don't know what they will think when they come here.

They would probably love it! I always like to try different cultures, though I don't travel(only because of lack of money).

Many Americans have gotten use to those large plates. If they were anything like me when I was growing up, they were told they had to eat everything on the plate. Of course that was when plate size was normal. People are so used to large plates, it would be strange to get anything less. However, they don't have to eat it all in one sitting. They can take it home for left overs. We do. Though I don't eat leftovers my husband does. My father in law and grandma use to love it because they could make many meals out of it.

Back to you CraftyCath, I know I would like to experience what you are going to show them and I'm from America. ;)

I barely eat anything and I gain weight. I did not used to be this way. I am trying to lose weight. I have never weighed so much before. But yesterday I got me two lovely new tops and I feel alittle better wearing them. I do not feel so huge now.
