The Small Things In Life. What Makes You Happy?

Walking through a nearby meadow that is in full bloom and watching the bees and butterflies there.... and picking wild raspberries; the bright red kind, because they are sweeter than the dark red ones. :)

As I was driving to T, I passed a corn field with not a lot of corn in it but hundreds of poppies, beautiful. When H comes home I'm going to put him in the car and take him to see them. I'll take my camera as well.

Passing the afternoon outside with neighbors and not doing the housework.

Lots of different little things make me happy, but I wanted to share one that happened today. My sister reminded me of how when we were little kids, we used to take baths together and I would wash her between her toes and she would squirm and giggle. This memory makes me happy because it is one of innocence and good times shared with my baby sister. :D

Bringing a smile to my fiancee's face makes me feel like I should still be alive, that I deserve life, and that maybe, just maybe, I am worth something

I bought a watermelon and brought a big slice over to my 84 year old friend's mom, and my 90 year old neighbor... we ate watermelon and it was a pleasant and even happy time.

My wonderful twins, they're growing so fast and they're getting prettier each day.

I can't contain this happiness whenever the twins giggle together, and cant even stop myself staring at those chubby cheeks while they are sleeping.

I sat here for a while thinking of what makes me happy. With my mind being so tangled up in negativity I never really noticed just how many things make me happy. It's refreshing to know that the wind of positivity is blowing away the fog of negativity in my mind.

Some of the many things that make me happy are:
-My husband
-My pets or any animal
-Nature (I've been nicknamed Mother Nature because wild animals approach me with no fear)
-A good meal
-Being surrounded by my best of friends
-The sound of rain, waves and waterfalls or any naturally moving water
-A good joke
-Baking/cooking
-Observing animals in nature
-Hiking
-Saving the life/healing of a helpless animal
-Kicking my husband's butt in video games
-The weeds in my yard and garden. Most of them are the best things to feed my lizards

Today my stuffed animal and my warm blanket and pj's. I have a cold...grrr!!

Finally trimming all the plants in my garden, it was a beautiful sunny winters day, and enjoying the sense of happiness from completing a job that needed doing for the last 3 months.
