The Small Things In Life. What Makes You Happy?

Okay, normally I say I am thankful for my local Asian buffet or my bed spread but this time is different I swear. I am thankful for the time I spend with my Amanda. I clean and prep her tupperware for work, feed the cats and take the dog out. Then I make dinner for us. For about an hour and a half I sit with her while we eat and watch tv with her, content that she doesn't have anything to worry about or do before she has to go to work. It makes my day.

Friday night, at home, My SO cuddles up on the couch with the kids, each playing his handheld device (iPad, 3DS, etc.) and hearing them all go back and forth laughing and saying things excitedly like "Look at this! OMG (and yes, they say O M G in letters, also Rofl which is pronounced rawfull, lol is lowel) I just beat this boss! Look, I am winning!"

That is how I know that I have grown up. I would rather spend my friday night doing that than doing anything else.

New york style cheesecake.
I have always loved the sensation of it on my tongue. How it has substance yet melts at the same time. The cheese like heaven with a taste reminiscent of vanilla and lemon. It smells wonderful and the smell/taste actually changes as it melts in your mouth, it's like a transformation that you get to witness and it's your own private experience, no one else can share it with you. It is soft, amorphous, heavy, thick, tasty, comforting and heavenly. It calms me and makes me truly happy.
