The Small Things In Life. What Makes You Happy?

I am thankful for the cat curled at my feet.
I am thankful for my warm home in the midst of the wind and the cold.
I am thankful for 80's comedy series that help me smile.
I am thankful that my bills are paid today and I don't have to worry for now.

My Beloved makes me happy when she does little things, special things, just for me. She makes me happy jusy by being my Beloved...

My son makes me happy, his love for his daddy is so pure, so unconditional, so perfect... being with him is like a double-dose of happy pills!! He is my "chill-pill".

My friend makes me happy, he always makes time for me, he puts up with my ranting and my moods, he gives sage advice. He is a wonderful person.

This forum has some very special people, they help me with a word of encouragement, they give me a shoulder, they pass a kleenex, they allow me to see things from a different perspective. They are just "there" sometimes...

I don't say thank you enough.
Thank you, thank you, thank you....

Today I am happy for the sunshine, the 4th day of no loud music from the neighbor, showers, and the cup of cappuccino I am going to have outside!!

Kind of a paradox, since this triggers me big time.. But school makes me happy. I like learning, and knowing that I won't let my flashbacks or anxiety get in the way of my education and my future dreams of becoming a librarian is a real uplifter. (P.S a few of my friends have had to miss classes due to their own anxiety... I'm actually really proud of myself that I've stuck it out, despite all that's happened; my trauma didn't completely render me with no future, it's made me defiant, and submissive to authority. Quietly proving them wrong, and determined. I'm not a freak. I can do what they can, just in different ways.)

It is. She doesn't care about much. Only that I snuggle her as often as I can. Pets do help us heal, huh?

Oh...and currently having lunch catered in at my office every day also makes me happy. Yay for not having to decide what to have for lunch every day...it's already chosen for me. :D
