My oldest son has never been a real huggy person, so when he shows affection it makes me stop in my tracks and I never rebuff him. My youngest son is a big hugger. Either way I am fortunate.

I'm thankful that my outdoor sage, rosemary and geranium plants seem to have forgiven me for my neglectfulness early last week. I've been bringing them indoors, talking to them, pleading they hang-in-there with me. (My lavender and thyme plants are not convinced yet, but maybe they'll still forgive me.)

I have a dog like that. She was suppose to be my son's dog, but she follows me every where, even to the bathroom. I told him we should have called her shadow!
