The Small Things In Life. What Makes You Happy?

@digger in a world were we could be doing so much to protect children and support and improve families, we have the Australia Courts handing down crazy judgements putting so many vulnerable people at risk. And you know if you stand up and say yes I was sexually abused in my family you face a type of death penalty where you lose everyone and every thing that you have ever known. So yes it seems like it is a small thing for a parent not to kill their offspring. Most of it doesn't even make the news. The journos listen to the police talk but unless it has an "angle" it doesn't get on the news. I am watching a person in our local community who may not be alive at the end of this week, nor the children and everyone is commenting on it but nothing is being done. So today the children aren't dead. And you can ring and report and the children still end up dead. So yes in my society, at this time, the people not killing their children is a small thing, we don't even fund the body that deals with this adequately. /end bitter and twisted scathing comments

Not sure I completely understand that. It should either be a fundamental part of parenting that you don't kill your kids - so maybe small in that way in that it is so fundamental that it shouldn't even need to be mentioned. Or it is a huge thing if you are referring to parents who might have difficulty with that.

Do you mean it seems/feels like a small thing to you, or that you feel that society considers it a small thing?

I think I might be missing what you are trying to say

@digger thanks for being so understanding. I have my crankypants on so I am off to bed now.

The small things that make me happy are the people all over the world who have so much kindness and generosity that they let you have your crankypants on and listen to you speak your heart.[DOUBLEPOST=1399640512,1399640442][/DOUBLEPOST]

I wasn't being clear in my communication @digger I am angry that society considers it is a small thing.
