(((hugs))) Please consider reviewing the cognitive distortions so that you might call your T out on that type of sabotaging response. I often have literally refuted statements uttered in group PTSD sessions in which the therapist chooses to engage in that type of all or nothing thinking. I do it as gently as possible and utter CBT in connection of the T's mistake. It is a leveler as well as a compassionate reminder that their words are as equally important to consider prior to being uttered. jmho
