Thursday and the weather has been a perfect 25C. Starting with that I hope everything else was perfect as well.

OK sorry Amethist, this is the post where I'm a day ahead. The weather is going to be good so I hope the rest of the day is as well.

I wish I had some restraint. Speccifically restraint from acting and responding too quickly, NOT, and I repeat, NOT, physical restraints. I am not into the bondage scene, thank you very much!

You are composed and restrained... cool as a cucumber. But you're coworkers misunderstand and think you're not a "team player", and management has been writing up a list for lay off. You're top of the list because at the team building company seminar they interpreted this as "unenthusiastic". Pink slips go out the end of this month.

I wish I could go on a month long retreat at a 5 star spa all expenses paid.

Wish granted Albatross, out of the blue you have won an all expenses trip to a five star Hotel and Spa, congratulations !

Unfortunately because of Ptsd the word "Retreat" is enough to set you off so that you are unable to take up the offer as it would seem like taking a step backwards which you cannot do and knowing this forces you to tear up the winning ticket.

I wish I could see the good in things.

OK Justadud, you now annoy the hell out of everyone by pointing out what YOU see as good. Ever see that movie where the guy can't tell a lie and it gets him into so much trouble. You do things like go to funerals and say "well it's good we don't have to listen to HIM (the deceased) anymore" At weddings, "I am happy you got married so that she (the bride) won't be sleeping with a different guy every night anymore!"

I wish I could see the good in things AND keep my mouth shut!

Seeing the good in everything is now your daily routine. From dog poop to the stunning 6ft tri athlete who lives down the lane from you. ;)

Unfortunately keeping your mouth shut is proving to be an impossible task. You describe the good, beauty and wonder in everything you see daily.

This is driving everyone insane, your work colleagues, family and friends, including the tri athletes husband. :roflmao:

For some reason you can no longer find marker pens for your white board, :D. Which is the only thing you dont find good in your new life.

I wish our local council would get their act together and let each department know what the others are doing.

Now that is a pile of :poop: to sort out.

Wish granted Amethist, your local council do communicate their plans between all departments. :geek:

Unfortunately this doesn't make one iota of difference to how they perform as typical of officialdom each think themselves and their department the most important, so they will carry out any activities as and when they see fit, never mind if it should undermine what another department is doing or if it might inconvenience a few plebs. :mad:

To complete ISH's wish, in order to help him keep his mouth shut he has been granted a record breaking case of Halitosis, which of course he will do nothing about as he can see what a good thing this is for him.:sneaky:

I wish I could guarantee nice weather for all those poor souls lining the streets up in town (London) tomorrow.

Wish granted Cherry. You are not gloomy and sad anymore but instead you can't stop laughing. Your cheeks and stomach are hurting from all the laughter. You haven't slept in 2 days because the laughter wakes you up out of your sleep. It's not a normal laughter either. It's a maniacal type laughter that scares children and small animals.

I wish I could quit my job and tour the African plains looking for Giraffes all day.

Wish granted, but it is always today. It is never yesterday as that is in the past and it's never tomorrow as that is in the future. So it is always today where you are!:tup:

I wish there was a "None of the above " section on our ballot papers (UK) and if the majority chose it no Politician would be elected for that area. This would give us a chance to whittle their numbers down :tdown:...........(quickly climbs back down off soapbox.)
