Trauma Free

I grew up in an abusive household where my sibling physically beat me, and my mother, who should have protected me, allowed it to happen. When I finally worked up the courage to call the police, they dismissed my pain, saying, "Siblings fight all the time." That moment taught me a harsh lesson: sometimes, the people who are supposed to help won’t.

Because I craved acceptance, I found myself in toxic relationships, seeking love in all the wrong places. At 16, my mother kicked me out, and with nowhere else to go, I moved in with a boyfriend who was far from good for me. I didn’t realize it then, but that choice would lead me to one of the darkest moments of my life.

One night, while at a neighbor’s house, an argument broke out between some guys. I was just an innocent bystander, but in an instant, my life changed forever. A stranger ambushed the house with an AK-47, and I was caught in the crossfire—shot four times. I should not have survived, but somehow, I did.

It took over two years to walk again and countless surgeries. But the hardest part wasn’t just the physical recovery—it was the emotional and mental battle that came afterward. I remember asking myself, Why me? I was drowning in pain, anger, and hopelessness.

But I fought my way back.

I became a nurse because I wanted to help others. I even became a nurse practitioner. But over time, I realized that true healing isn’t just about medicine—it’s about transforming the mind, healing from within, and breaking free from past trauma. That’s why I became a health coach and advocate—because I know what it’s like to feel broken, to believe life will never get better. And I also know that it can.

The human experience is tough, and we all suffer in different ways. But you don’t have to stay trapped in your pain. Life is about duality—light and dark, suffering and healing, loss and growth. You are stronger than your trauma. You are capable of breaking free.

I am living proof of that.

It took a lot to say all that but its my truth! I'm sharing my story as a testament to others, and I would love to connect with you guys. If my story resonates with you and you’re looking for support in your own healing journey, I’d love to offer my assistance if you are interested because you don’t have to do this alone.
