Going to va as well as sessions, i am on a number of anti phyct. depression, nerve, pain, sleeping, an plain mood modifiers. am rated at 80% cant work anymore but cant seem to get it threw to the knotheads. i have been found permintly disab. i have a bullet in my back thay cant remove server shrap. wound to my leg and left forarm. i was even hit close enough to the heart i was dead for 6+ min. been threw absulute HELL. as i heard so adicuitly put. a small price foor putting foot to ass for my country. i dont mind talking about it becouse its my life, but only to those that have that t shirt. AND YES just to make it clear i have been diag. with sever PTSD with depression. but gd i miss it. de opresso.

Mate, I refused to acknowledge that I had it too. I was a Sergeant Major and my boss told me I had PTSD, I told him where to go. At least now you have acknowledged it, its the first step really.

Having chronic pain does not help either. I am on Oxyconton, Endone, and valium. its the only things that will work.
Am having two discs relplaced in May. Pain also adds to the depression, so mate you have a double edged sword.
Not only are you fighting the depression linked to PTSD, you have your medical conditions to deal with.

Just stay on the forum and ask any questions you want. If we can't answer them, someone like Anthony (the founder), who also has PTSD might be able to help you.

SF911 I am on all kinds of meds to some of them are just to counter act the side effects of the other ones. You are in the right place there is no judgement on anything you need to say as long as your not disrespectful of other members. Just cut loose I have learned so much that has helped me in dealing with my meds and the VA from other peoples trials and tribulations.So WELCOME

Thanks.. I have a bit of a problem now. IM NOT GETING ANY GD HELP FROM THE FN VA! sure thay have me on meds and going to this program but im unemployable by sivilan stds, due to meds beeing narcs, and such as well as phisical impairments. I have done my best to restain myself from blowingup in their faces.... i think thay think thay want me to.... BAD IDEA ON THEIR PART!!! i only receve 70 to 75 % iknow others who walked in and boom 100 % due to ptsd, and they were in the rear with the gear, wtf. do i need TO BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF SOMEONE OR WHAT??!! the bad part is i have a family that is suffering with this and dealing with me too ive always been hard hence the green beret and sf rating. BUT now ive gone soft it feels like. i stay so tence i think ill crack my teeth. i have been all over the world fighting every where i went spops blackops out in frount, never in the rear... I just need some help....or i......GOT TO END IT.... money isent everthing but it would help if i could just ..........never mind im pissing and monning. im just f*cked. i wish i could go into detail but im resticted. if you have any advice i need it pdq.

I fought with the VA for 6 years to get my rating increased. SIX YEARS. The only thing that finally got the ball rolling was I literally had to write my congressman. Once I contacted his office and explained shit started happening. Also I still didn't get my damn 100% But I applied for TDIU (Total Disability for Individual Unemployability) and with TDIU you get paid at the 100% rate regardless of your actual rating with the VA. And you are also entitled to SSI disability on top of your VA disability so if you haven't applied then do it. There are VA lawyers available but I didn't use one. Maybe it would have made things faster for me I don't know. If you get a VA lawyer you don't pay them anything at all, The VA pays the tab. But if you get backpay they will get 20% of that amount. After I wrote my congressman it was less than two months later I was granted TDIU. That's after jumping through hoops for the VA for six damn years! So I hope this helps man. HOOAH.

Brother I know where your coming from. You are in the most important fight of your life right now. The VA wants to dope you up and boot you back into a society that has no fu$%ing idea of the things you have been through. NEVER forget you are not alone. Come here and rant and rave if it helps relive a little stress. I have only been here for a few days now, but it helps me just knowing that their are people here that understand and have a wealth of information that they share at a drop of a dime.
