Ladies and Gents...

One issue I have is with the opposite sex and relationships.
I have never dated a military woman and many have no clue.

Just want your views on love, relationships, dating, flirting, friends etc....

Dont hold folks... I really appreciate the answers I am getting on here.
And am farily thick skinned... so... let er rip....

Janz, mate for starters I don't think this belongs in the anger section. I am trying to sort of keep some sort of organisation and its damn hard.

But in answer to your question, a military chick with PTSD is a no go, when you have PTSD. Just look at how we get on each others nerves.
Now a chick in the military that knows and understands PTSD, it could work, but she would have to have darn thick skin to put up with PTSD.

Wasn't sure if I could post this up to to go along with other issues regarding anger.
My bad... disregard.

As for finding the right partner/soul mate/lover... I have never dated a woman with Combat PTSD altho I am sure that some have had something going on. Like I say to my friends, "I love you guys, but I'm not getting paid by the hour for this. I can listen to your issues but I MAY not have the answers.".

The reason why I post this is because I would liketo hear some pros/cons, ups/downs to their love life.
I don't want to pry or put anyone in a position that makes them feel like they will share more than they are willing. Just that it has been many years since I have been in a serious relationship with a woman. And yes I am still weathering the storm... I do feel somewhat ready to let some one into my life... when the time is right.

I guess it could be okay if both parties know about it up front.

In my case I didn't find out about hers until we'd been married for several years.

She's still in denial but there's absolutely no doubt that it's PTSD at the least or something even worse.
However, she's not getting help and has left rather than deal with her issues.
