Trauma Models?

I am new to the site and hopefully soon starting therapy to deal with my PTSD that started when I was barely a teenager (12 years ago). I want this to be a targeted thing and want to work on coping skills, symptom management, and getting rid of this stuff without ending up in therapy for the next 10 years. I have heard there are some very good trauma models for a targeted treatment plan (the STAIR Model for one). Does anyone have any experience with these or any tips for making therapy productive? I have had horrible luck in the past but my symptoms are so unmanageable I am no longer able to put off dealing with this all.

Thanks,
Hana

This one looks great to piece out symtoms and easier to get sort of "treatment plans" for each: Ptsd Viewed As A Networking Model

ETA: Not sure if thats what you are looking for as thats more a PTSD model but Trauma Models seem to be written for therapiest as I read through some sites when I googled. All of them for therapist and none for the traumatized. I think you may benefit from listing symptoms out and creating certian treatment plans or work with them individually?
