Good question!
I'm just guessing but I think it depends on the individual. I just spoke briefly to hubby & he said that it is hard enough some weeks just to concentrate on what he has to do for that week let alone think of the future.
I suppose it goes back to the cup overflowing. Too many thoughts may create confusion & increase the stress levels.
We can talk about what we would like to happen down the track (like possibly buying a house) but at the end of the day what we would like to see happen & what does happen to us at times is another thing. Sometimes that thing called life just gets in the way!
