What happens if u tell a school counsellor you have tried to kill yourself

It depends on where you are but I'm guessing they would need to tell someone because they need to be sure you're not at risk of hurting yourself. Despite this, it would be worth someone in your life knowing that you're struggling so much.

I have told two people if person they were shocked

That sounds like a reasonable response in all honesty, most people aren't used to being told someone they know has tried to kill themselves and aren't trained to deal with it. It may not have been pleasant for you to see them shocked but I'd be more concerned if they were quite casual about it.

If you're telling other students, that is going to be the reaction you get. Your peers probably don't have the background to deal with this in a helpful manner.

If you want someone who is going to take decisive action to assist you in feeling better, tell a school administrator or a doctor. They have been trained to deal with these things in a calm manner.

The chances are if you've told your peers and they were as shocked as you think they were, they'll tell someone, who will tell someone and it may get back anyway. It may be better that they hear it from you than from a friend's worried parent.

You need help, which if you're at school will mean your parents knowing something is up. I know it's hard...

My cousin killed himself last summer. I never saw it coming. Never in a million years. Had he told me he was thinking about it I would have LOVED to have had the chance to help him. I dont have it now.
Would I have been shocked? Probably. Would I have done something for him? ABSOLUTELY.
