@Neverthesame I'm glad that you found humor in it. He's very laughable. I'm just not sure HOW the Republican Party ever let him get this far, AND why it took until now for some of them to back away and not support him. Yet some still do?!?!?!?! Just very head banging, and not quite understanding how on earth people can look at him, listen to him and not walk away shaking their heads and saying....... God, he has a mouth that looks like an anus!!!!! Seriously, it looks just like an anus!!!!! I think, I've never really searched one out to look throughly.....

I've observed that this thread ends up occasionally becoming more about the politics than the person; however, it's true that part of being triggered by Trump's statements about women and assault involves the fear that such a person could become as powerful as to be president. And so, it's been Ok to let those posts that are more political happen.

Exactly, @joeylittle!! It is precisely because of the chance that he could have that power that he is so triggering to me. Lately, Scott Baio has said much worse and so what? The Neanderthals are out there. That's not news.

This is a case in which it's impossible to separate the personal from the political.

Thank God, I believe the polls and they are showing that this creature should be out of our lives in 18 days. After that, I will be so happy to not feel the need to post in this thread again. But until then, it's a lifeline.

@hodge Please don't take this the wrong way... But I think that counting the days till this is over is just delusional thinking. If he loses, which I pray that he does.... He isn't going to go away with a gracious departure. He will make this a circus more than he already has. He will demand recounts, he will spew the rhetoric about the election being rigged even more than now. I think he will start demanding an investigation, although I doubt one would take place. But overall I really think that he will come out swinging and swinging hard.... I think we all know that he isn't just going to go sulking away.... And then we will have to deal with this shit all over again, in 4 yrs, because in his mind, he came "this close" so he will most likely run again.....

We can all pray for serious illness happen!!! You know, something like a rain dance, except we can call it the tramp trump dance.......

I know you're right, @She Cat. But if he loses, he has no chance of getting that power. Yeah, he'll still be acting out, probably as you say, worse than ever, and grabbing headlines as well as p*, but at least he won't be in the Oval Office. I can deal with that. I am currently having a hard time dealing with him as well as his supporters, which include my abusive mother and others. I pray they are too lazy to get out and cause any violence when he loses.

This entire election is triggering me. Its triggering anger and the fight response. The want to hide. Curl inside. Trump, Clinton, both of them.

I cant seem to watch even the last debate. I want to cut when i try. Cant do it. Not sure why.

Angry comments here. Name calling on either side. Its triggering something in me and i have no clue what. Im not blaming, its my issue. Just dont know why i have such a strong reaction to it all. Not sure what its about.

Good f*cking grief! How in the world did I come out of a family who supports Trump???? I was on FB a little bit ago and one of my aunts started a chat with me. When she asked me how I was, I was very honest. I told her how upset I am by Trump's presence and why. She said that was in the past. I said the past is present for me and many, many other women. This is a woman who was always there for me when I needed a break from my mom. I could go to her anytime, and I did many times. She was a comforting mother figure for me and totally understood, as she knew my mother well. I know she is voting for Trump, because she is politically ignorant. She wouldn't say that to me, because she knows it would hurt me, but I know it anyway. I feel betrayed by my whole family. Except for one other aunt. She's a good liberal and I know she is also appalled by Trump. But everyone else? Forget it. I really feel betrayed by my family, now in a whole new way.

@hodge, my dad is the exact same way and worships the ground walks on. He can do no wrong per my dad. Makes me sick!

My step mom is a bit more like me, doesnt like either. I have to respect her as she hears "the gospel of Trump" 24/7. She's keeping her head.

I guess my real family is my husband and his kids. All of them and their SOs are voting for Clinton.

I am not surprised that my favorite aunt is voting for Trump. I'm just disappointed that she could not bring herself to offer me any comfort. Maybe we're seeing our loved ones' true colors.

@hodge, my dad supported trump for a while. I completely understand how betrayed you feel. He had the news on constantly and would laugh at Trump's comments, even though I found them disgusting. I hope your aunt turns around like my dad did.

Okay, good proactive move. I just wrote to my one smart aunt about this and asked her to specifically reassure me that she is not voting for Trump. I know she wouldn't, but told her it would mean the world to me to just hear her say that, since the rest of my family will.
