I can not bear to see his face or hear his voice, which means I often have to forego the news on TV. I have to do it for the sake of my sanity. To me, he is largely a reminder of every man who's ever violated me. So, yeah, avoidance. and it breaks me up how my older female relatives voted for him and still stand by him. Nothing like being disrespected by your own female relatives, eh?

My sister feels the same way. If I try to talk about it even, she gets upset. So we talk about other stuff.

Long before it was ever said publicly that Reagan had dementia, spitting image had their latex puppets portraying him totally clueless and confused.
His brain had gone awol and had been humped by a tortoise, giving rise to a brain that could think twice as fast - it was about the size of half a walnut.
I think the same satire applies to this one, and perhaps more so. The stories about how frequently he'll repeat the same thing to the same person, ring true to that idea.
He's probably being kept well away from anything breakable.

A thought that I think is important. "Revolutions" tend to be coups d'etat. It's simply another gang gaining control of the heirachical institution of violence
And actual revolution would probably go under noticed by the media. It would simply be people finding ways to live their lives without being hassled by entitled thieves and bullies.
In that respect, the two candidates in the last united state 'residential election, have probably worked wonders for educating people about the nature of the institution of violence.
As did a lot of the coverage of the Fergusson riots with local people peacefully protection get homes and businesses, while the uinformed bullies either watched violence, or gassed and beat crap out of peaceful protestors and journalists.
