@lostforgottensoul I must have misread your post last night.

It's ok. Honestly ESAs and flying really shouldn't have been brought up. I get why they were but that's the ACAA, not the ADA and HR 620 is gutting the ADA, not the ACAA and ESAs aren't covered or recongized by the ADA. So, honestly ESAs and peakcocks flying makes zero difference here. It only serves to confuse in my opinion as so many don't understand that there is indeed a large difference in ESAs and Service animals. ESAs have their purpose and a job too and my service dog in training also provides emotional support but this does nothing to effect ESAs. But it really does effect those of us with service dogs. The ADA is our backbone. What we rely on and refer back to. Mess that up and you really mess us up.

I agree with Trump over these guns. Common sense. I personally am under pshyciatric care so I shouldn't be able to buy a gun. Strengthening laws does not take away the first admendment at all but rather only denies guns to those that have no business with a gun.

Though, the black market will always be there. Think of that when you think making guns illegal will work. The black market will always be there and a criminal breaks into your home with a gun (as the black market isnt going away no matter what we do) and now you dont have anything to defend yourself as nothing can compete against a bullet.

But common sense people. Stop selling assualt wepons in gun shops. Yes, the black market will have them but get them out of gun shops! Make the checks way harder. Required classes on how to carry responsibly. Etc.

@lostforgottensoul I believe you’re talking about the second amendment, not the first amendment.

I disagree with you, Trump the NRA and anyone else that believes we need more guns, especially in a school. As it’s been pointed out on the news, there are WAY too many questions that need to be answered before any of this could happen. Many of those questions, only bring up more questions.

Only people that believe in the NRA would think it’s safe to have guns in schools.

Some of the questions/points that have been brought up.....

Who will financial pay for the guns and the training of the teachers or lunch room monitors to carry a gun????
Where will the gun be when not during school hours?
Will it be in a locked gun safe, and who will have access to this???
Will the gun be on the person during school hours???
How will he or she protect themselves if a student try’s to take the gun?

There are way more questions, but I guess the important thing to remember is this......

They HAD an armed deputy on the grounds of the latest school shooting, and although I DO NOT condone the fact that he did not try and engage the shooter,.......... I certainly do understand why he didn’t. Going up against an assault rifle when you have a pistol, is like trying to put out a 5 alarm fire with a water pistol. It’s suicide.

I believe that the issue needs many more fronts to be addressed other than putting more guns in our schools. We’re becoming the wild Wild West again, and no one sees this.....

I believe you’re talking about the second amendment, not the first amendment.

Yes, 2nd. Sorry.

I disagree with you,

That's ok. I disagree with you. And thats ok. We can agree to disagree. I know the black market aint going anywhere. Criminals will always find a way and there is nothing that can defend against a bullet but other bullets. All that will happen is murder rates will increase due to criminals getting the guns via the black market and citizens no longer allowed to defend themselves and their familes. Also death by bombings would go up, which has a potional of much more life loss. Criminals always find a way. So we take away the ability to defend ourselves? Not real common sense in my opinion.

Only people that believe in the NRA would think it’s safe to have guns in schools.

I never said in schools. I said in your home. Never brought up having guns in a school. I do not believe guns belong in a school. But metal detectors, bag and locker searches, as well as security guards do.

I believe that Trump has been discussing guns in schools, so I misunderstood what you were referring to. But I still stand by what I said, that we’re becoming the wild Wild West with everyone arming themselves,

Black market, yes sure they sell handbags and anything else that they can too, but we still try to stop the selling of those products and guns are no different.

Anyone else hoping to see Trumph riding on a tank?

Or maybe straddling an ICBM waving a cowboy hat, to a flight of huey's blaring "We'll Meet Again" on a flyby....

30 mill well spent.

I'm sure all those vets would love a parade, to watch a draft dodger get all the glory he didn't earn.

Yup, can't wait.
If you can't spend money intelligently, spend it on something to make the neighbours jealous. LOL!

Weapons which are made specifically for warfare should not be available to the general public. I don’t care if they are just collectors or whatever reason is used. They have no reason to be available to the public.
They have one purpose only. To kill as many people as possible. Not enemies, not opposing troops not victims. People.
45 thinks more guns are the solution. They should be provided to the teachers. I went to public school, my kids went to public school. While curriculum has changed, one thing hasn’t changed, horomones.

I know I am not the only person who has seen a 13 - 14 yr old boy towering over a male teacher challenging authority. I have seen it go as far as it almost coming to blows in the hallways between student & teachers. I did see teachers get into fist fights.
This is far from uncommon. Not then, not now.

I will be the first to admit I have no business owning a gun. I’m a firm believer if someone carries for self protection it should only be brought out to shoot.
It is not a healthy belief. Yet, there is my reasoning, it does not make my belief any healthier but I’ll share it anyway.
If someone knows you’re holding, they’ll come prepared and not only be holding but have some pals with them who are holding as well. Children!

One more thing. If a shooter lets loose in a school, those teachers first instinct will be to get the children to safety. Shield the children.

I am done my rant.
