News Usa Is Broke

I gotta tell you Anthony, for someone who constantly runs off at the mouth against the US, you sure seem to enjoy chatting about it. A lot. I've been reading this same tripe for four and a half years now. Find a new tune...this one is getting old! Don't you have problems in your own country that you could put your attention towards? Oh...sorry, I forgot. Utopia with kangaroos. My bad.

Give it a rest, dude.
I think I obviously struck a nerve with you. Actually, the many within the US run off at the mouth about being the center of the world... ie. there is nothing worthy outside America. Now you have the attention, you don't like it. I think that is less than fair upon your comments which seem more heated than rational.

America has directly impacted the world, every single country, due to what has gone on within the country. So yes, every single person in the world has a say about this... unfortunately it is the innocent American citizens that suffer what the rich and political have done within the country.

As a result of America's actions, you bought hardship on every single country because every country is invested within each other. First Greece, now Portugal, Ireland impacted nearing bailout, the UK was hit extremely hard, Asia, Australia, every country has had a negative impact on their economy due to what has gone on within the US.

What did the US do when they ran out of money? They made a decision all on their little own, to print more, that will fix the problem they thought. Oh wait... now they have diluted the US dollar so far, its become worthless. The Australian dollar used to be around $0.65 to the US$1.00. Now, for nothing other than the US own dilution of their dollar and greed, our dollar is at $1.05 to the US$1.00. That is a 40% change and financial impact, just because of the greed, corruption and outright stupidity that has gone on within the US at the political level. It should be cheaper for you to visit our country, not the other way round.

If Australia or any country did this, I would have a say about that as well... its not that I am saying some untruth here. Every country is now affected due to this, and it is only getting worse. When is enough enough from one country? How much should others tolerate one country's financial policies ignorance? If it was rape, no doubt you would be screaming first about it... and America has raped every country financially. It has taken trillions of dollars and blown it all into thin air. That's a harsh analogy, but accurate.

Take it personal if you want, I don't really care. If it was Australia, I would be disgusted in myself for allowing it to happen without voicing myself more here, in unison with every Australian, to stop what is commonsense corruption. If I was American, I would feel shame for what my country had done. I would take it quite personal actually.

Do I have a voice? Yes... and I believe I can voice it. The US financial policy continues to affect every single person around the world, American or not... because America choose to do nothing and accept what has been done, is still being done, which does not mean every person around the world shares your view, nor even most within your own country. They feel what I would feel if it was my country.

Putting our head in the sand about the problem is not the solution, and I feel that is what you think I, and anyone with an opinion about America, should do. Gee... wait... that has done the US so much good so far, has it not? Ignorance is what got America into this position, again, affecting us all globally. So how about you quite the snide remarks, get your head out of the sand, and start doing something useful within your country to implement change, considering you are their... you have first say into change... yet you degrade another for having a say. Hmmmm....

Wow I couldn't have said it better than Anthony! Heads in the sand doesn't help a single person. I do realize that being in Europe for 13 plus years makes my view wider, but can people not see? Less healthcare, less benefits? I do not understand why that would be acceptable for any country. No one is immune to doing things wrong, or treating ANY human being unfairly.

Do I hate my country? Absolutely not. However, I know when things are terribly wrong. I just want things to turn around and be better for everyone. Maybe the US needs to concentrate more on their own problems? Less in trying to control oil and having control? Please, do not lash out. I do not mean to offend others, but the truth is the truth. Do others realize exactly where President Bush's money was invested?

Anthony like me I would love to change certain points on how the system here works, but we few that don’t have our heads in the sand (Up someone else’s butt!) know it’s a lost cause! We can vote for whom we want in office but the politicians have us by the balls "Electoral" basically we the people tell the electoral whom we want, however the electrorials get the last laugh and pick whom they want! Making it not a vote of the people "For the people don’t know what’s best for them" A quote made by a politician here in the US.

The poor bleed for the rich to be richer! We tax payers are the support system for the wealthy; however the wealthy tend to forget without grunts (those of us that they treat like foot troops) your business won’t run smoothly! It’s not really going to hurt the soldiers that are fighting, It’s going to hurt the spouses that are aboard/state side without the soldier here, it’s going to hurt their children for the paycheck is going to be late, pay check that is anticipated for its needed to pay the bills, and buy their food with! Many of our grunts significant others are on food stamps because the GI pay sucks!

Don’t attack the messenger! Mr. Anthony has the right to his views you may not agree with them, nor might I, but he does have the right to voice his thoughts and open other people’s eyes!

You ever seriously want your eyes opened look up the EPA's regs on Radiation dispersal in the US and what it recommends in the event of a dirty bomb and how it states that the local government should deal with a situation that requires a mass exodus from heavily populated areas!

Japan wasn’t trying to hide anything they were trying to prevent mass hysteria, which the US news agencies wanted to promote so it would have more of a story, get the US not in my back yard nuts screaming to cause problems/deception people!

You want to see sheep being led to slaughter?? Just look on a map or on a globe and find North America!

Anthony has just as much right as you and I to voice his opinions. If you don’t agree with it then get your A&& off the milk crate and stop calling yourself an American! We don’t fight for nothing we fight so that others can enjoy the freedoms we Americans take for granted, it wasn’t for free, IT FREAKING COST MEN & WOMEN!!

Basically its political boat floating! Those that are holding things up are doing what they want to do, because they promised the large corparations they would change government to help them out so that the corparations would give them dollars for their campaigns! Its one giant grand stand, what’s at cost isn’t going to hurt them; it’s going to hurt the economy that is just starting to show signs of recovery????? WTF!!

The debt is unpay offable!! Can you cough out your butt hundreds of quad zillion dollars??? The US wall street ties into every economic of every country in the world, the same goes for the US as well. If the china dollar drops we're up the proverbial creek without the boat, life saver, and paddle! Can’t have a war with them, their our bank!

Been around the world removing American made land mines? Why because the US Government sold them the land mines to make money. The people are tired of War(s). The unemployment will quad-duple if they bring the soldiers back before the economy recovers fully, and now political grand standers! You let your Government decide for you who’s to be in charge so stop whining.

With that said carry on Anthony!

BTW Anthony may not agree with this post.

Fighting foreign invaders since 1495.

BTW Never mind that perverbial boat in the creek is made in China with potential chemicals in it known in the State of California to cause cancer, painted with lead, and made for American companies to sell here stateside for a dollar where it cost that company pennies to make for they are only paying the chinesse people cents to produce for them!

Basically its political boat floating! Those that are holding things up are doing what they want to do, because they promised the large corparations they would change government to help them out so that the corparations would give them dollars for their campaigns!

Couldn't have said it better myself... nice!

BTW Anthony may not agree with this post.
No problem with that at all... truthful is truthful.

Some may think its about having a dig at America... it has nothing to do with American citizens for the most part.

If what America did only affected America, then I wouldn't say a thing. But what any country does with its financial systems these days, has impact on other countries, as there is no such thing as independent economies any more, but instead trade has surpassed anything beyond most peoples imaginations and we are actually a global economy. If China makes bad financial policy decisions, guess what? Every single country will suffer. If Australia decided to stop selling coal to other countries... guess what? Nearly every country would suffer electricity supply problems, as the majority of the worlds power is coal produced, and Australia is the largest exporter in the world for coal, to US, China, European countries, etc. Again, what one country does these days often places a significant impact onto other countries, so we all have a right to voice stupidity occurring in any country.

If it was the UK who caused the GFC, guess what? They would be the one's name I mention, not the US. If it was Australia who caused it, same result... unfortunately for some Americans who think I have a grudge against American citizens... then you are barking up the wrong tree, and in fact I have stated several times that is not the case. I do however have a huge bug up my arse about what the US Government and political system has caused. And they are the cause, not Wall Street itself. It is the US Government that "cut the red tape" on financial policy, it is they who lifted restrictions and allowed sub-prime lending, double, triple mortgages to be taken when assets don't even cover the mortgage costs.

The US Government should be rounded up and shot for treason to be perfectly honest, that is how disgusted in them I am, and many around the world are disgusted. The world suffers for what the US Government has allowed to happen, let alone we do not suffer as much as American citizens themselves, who have full interest and investment in their own economy more often than not.

Australian Politics

Here is one example of a recent event that I would have crushed the current party for if they allowed it to go through, and of all things, the person in the opposite party I would vote for, pissed me off by just being argumentative as opposition, saying this would be a good thing.

Singapore SGX put in a $9 billion offer to buy the ASX (Australian Stock Exchange). In one breathe they say "merger" but it was an actual attempt at take over. [DLMURL]http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704415104576250382136051902.html[/DLMURL]

What good could possibly come from another country being allowed to buy another countries stock exchange? None.... only capitalism, which America has proved vastly does not work. So the Australian Government rejected this offer for what it was and the implications it could have. Sure, jobs could have been created, wealth creation, blah blah blah... but you are talking about a few getting rich and the possible implications for the Australian financial system being compromised. Even if it was merger, it is all trouble swapping financial policy between countries with direct interest of ownership.

Offcourse the CEO of the ASX thought this was a great idea... he would have got rich. But our Government rejected it on commonsense for what it was... literally opening up a floodgate of monopoly and deregulation into the Australian financial system, which is the strongest in the world at present, and that is not us saying that, that are other countries, US, China, UK, etc, saying that. We have very strict policies here, and whilst that may be bad for you lending money, ie. not meeting criteria to get the loan, it also stops us crashing where suddenly debt outweighs asset value.

Joe Hockey I suspect will be the PM of Australia in the future... and whilst he is a straight shooter, he was being argumentative on this case and is wrong. The current treasurer, Wayne Swan, I got a whole new found appreciation for him, even though he is more wrong than right, atleast his morals are in the correct place on such a major decision that could impact not only Australia, but other countries who are heavily invested into this economy.

I agree with all of that, plus the damage we've done to our own people since the inception of this country which gets lost when the flags start waving. It's too big to lay on 'The Government' as a whole, however since 'they' are controlled really by the special interests which roll them into office an vary hugely in intent. It's the dam Aligarchy-the corporations- the filthy money interests behind the whole machine which are the problem. The talking heads in government are just the paid assasins. Our massive social ills past and present have and do come down to money. Slavery was about maintaining the plaintations and the entire economy of the South, our loathesome treatment of Native Americans had to do with quite literally bald-facedly swiping their lands in order to further 'build' this country, and even not taking care of our sick people through disallowing a national health care system is all about allowing a huge source of revenue for corporations to continue. Even something you would think of as 'Duh' as allowing two people who love each other to get married here, Gay Americans-think that's about anything Biblical, or some stupid principal? Nope. It's about Mega-Corp not wishing to have one more segment of the population claim their spouse for insurance purposes. The Christian Right make dandy dupes for that 'cause', to be sure while our gay citizens are denied the rights everyone else have to come home 'legally' to a nice, normal home. Money money money money money.

Our Government is too fragmented idealistically to be clumped all together, so I'd hate to see the whole thing herded together in Anthony's purge. You'd have to route out the ones with the gilded puppet stings- I'll happily hand over those for the grand round up. That American interests have (and continue) wrecked various, very dangerous havoc on our planet is just inarguable. There are factions of our government who would actually like to make that arguable. It would be hugely helpful if those could be heard.

Nicolette and I were having a conversation this morning about media... and I remember many Americans mentioning here that your media is pretty much influenced by money as well vs. being independently spoken and an influence for the people. Ours is that way, being an influence for the people against our Government, which helps us give our voice without dispute to the Government. How is ours like that? Well, society I guess is one thing, but news stations here will use another media outlets incorrect / hyped / cut portions, to show that x channel is trying to bullshit the public and provide a biased viewpoint, which is, ratings for them and damage to the competition. So this keeps our media channels extremely honest and as non-biased as possible, otherwise the competition will use their own story against them knocking them down ratings, which means advertising $$$.

So our media has no choice but to be proactive for the people with honesty.

When discussing this, I thought... is this a way to change the American media if Americans are saying that the stories are completely biased? Does America need a channel to change their tune and redirect their focus on other media outlets who show biased, half stories, mistruths as such, to force them into being for the people instead of for the Government / Big $$$ corporations? The $$$ travel to who has the ratings, nothing more. Corporations will shift media agencies at the scent of a ratings drop, which means lost audience for their message.

Maybe a possible start to that problem, if enough within America jumped on such a thing, demanding it from one news agency? Maybe even if just one news agency takes the initiative and turns the stories on the competition, showing the injustice and mistruths stated?

Just thinking out-loud really!!!

Some news programs/networks are less biased than others. The fact of the matter is there are enough different networks and viewers that people just tune into the network that most closely aligns with their own personal views. Some advertisers will advertise on all of them; others will only spend their dollars on the network whose vantage point they like the most. Liberals tune into certain networks, conservatives tune into others...they're each happy and nobody really gets a completely accurate unbiased view. Unfortunately, some people are so closed-minded that they seem to like it that way.

The media is very biased here. CNN, very liberal, FOX, very conservative. It's not something I see changing any time soon. I think the important thing is that people recognize that the media is skewed and keep that in mind when trying to understand the bigger picture. In addition to watching my news of choice, I also watch news that is skewed the other way so I can see things from both sides. I think the problem with most of America, politicians and general civilians alike, is that most don't take the time to see both sides of the debate. They want to believe what they want to believe and that's it.

I am glad to see there are others that actually watch the news. In a society hopped up on "reality TV" and who Paris is sleeping with now, most don't get a clear view. I am still skeptical about the news though because I think, like stated before, that there is bias in any network. Things get filtered and edited to show something that may not be the case. A lot of it comes down to what your net worth is. Have eight kids at a time and you get your own tv show, start off with a talk show and get your O.W.N network, get caught in a flood or a hurricane and your some poor white trash slob hunking your stuff down a flooded street in a boat wearing a 'wife beater' ( tank ) and cut off blue jeans. They love to go for bad dental hygene too. Too much conspiracy theory and not enough fact.

We want it to change, we need to actually take the time to vote. Numbers in the polls have consistently gone down because everyone feels like our voice cannot be heard. So time to step up. I am going down tomorrow to vote on a recall of the new bill passed in Wisconsin. Hate the idea of the onslaught as I walk in the door, but if I can't fight for my children's future why even have them.

WTH, Disney still makes money. Mickey Mouse for President, 2012.
