Hello everyone

There doesn't seem to be much on the forum about this medication & I'm wondering if anyone else has experience of it. I'm now on day 31 of it - it's my first ever med presciption.

We started at 25mg a night but that didn't really do much at all. After about 3 weeks I started to feel I was getting somewhere, but then some shit happened which put me into a deep hole.

The dose was doubled to 50mg at the beginning of this week and it seems to be working now. I sleep better, have actually had a pleasant dream for the first time in a year and my feelings are more stable. It hasn't particularly affected me in other way, like side effects. Although I am a bit sleepier in the afternoons, but maybe that's also my body recovering from the strain I've been under recently.

Does anyone else have this med? If anyone has been taking it for several months, I'd be interested to hear how you got on with it, how easy it is to come off, etc.

Thanks

I just looked up Valdoxen on the Mayo Clinic website, my go-to, and I see it's a brand name for melatonin. I've tried it for sleep. No effect. I only took 5 mg, though.

If you look at the Agomelatine page on Wikipedia, that's the one I'm referring to. Valdoxan is a brand name.

Thanks
