I was going to say much the same as @Simply Simon but I guess we should be glad they are actually doing the studies. The results might seem obvious to anyone with PTSD but empirical evidence trumps anecdote.

But if anyone needs a really authoritative study done? I don't think I've read one conducted in the Caribbean, or Fiji, or even Oahu :eek: I think it would be grossly negligent if we didn't expeditiously organize grants & other sources of funding for proper transportation, lodging, equipment, etc., to go explore the hypothesis that their water is wet, also. Clearly, this would need to be a 3 part study to determine the hydropotentiation & other properties of ocean, fresh, & alcoholic applied both externally and internally. Conducted quarterly. For a period not less than 10 years, to accurately judge the longitudinal properties of their so called "water".

Don't mock the researchers. They might just choose to take up your water study rather than have to deal with surly PTSD folks.

Researchers sometimes lean toward proving the obvious as doing so and having a research project with positive (proved) results is favored by the researching institution and thereby ensures future employment given that tenure tracks are unfortunately becoming a thing of the past. In other words, it all boils down to money. A published study brings in money for the university. A researcher who doesn't bring in money to the university is dead weight and will be let go.

@jade53, nope. PTSD is PTSD. Younger veterans are renown for having heightened response because of youthful adrenaline. This is not new information.

@anthony Precisely, except for self-restraint being harder on the hearts and minds of those from before 9/ 11, when to most it was some kind of "attitude disorder" in need of adjustment.
