Weaning Off Anti-depressants And Anti Anxiety Medications. How To Deal With Arising Feelings?

Hanging in there. Been seeing lots of people, socialising and exercising.

Felt pretty blah this morning but eventually got up and did some exercise.

Going for a walk with a friend at 2pm.
 
I went to a tai chi lesson last night.

I saw a friend for a walk yesterday. I saw another friend for tai chi and dinner.

Gosh the anxiety is bad right now.

Please keep this thread going through your entire process. I'm planning a antidepressant ween starting next week (May 2013). I was researching and found this thread which has been very helpful. I also believe that I'm going to go through a tough time as I ween off of the drugs. I've noticed that you are getting out more, exercising more and feeling the highs and lows of life more precisely. That's what I want too. I used to equate being on the drugs as a light switch going on and off or feeling even-keeled. It's scary to make this decision. Your thread explains what to expect and all of us (including those of us that stumbled across this post, then signed up to comment) want to read your entire journey. Thank you and wishing you a bright future.

Absolutely. Thanks to Albatross to about the article link. If anyone checks out the site it's on, you can also look up different antidepressants with "tapering off" plans specific to each antidepressant. I'm on Cymbalta, and it had a plan for it specifically.

Keep going Ms. Spock, so many of us are rooting for you.
 
I am not pretending so much. It is good.

I went to two social type events yesterday. I went to wood working and out for film with a friend.

Today I went to an incest survivor's art group.

I am getting myself out to something each day.
