Is there ever really any hope or any good? Or is it all just an illusion and a lie we feed ourselves?
(((((Deb))))))
We aren't feeding ourselves lies, we are relying on our hopes for good to carry us forward. And, if we didn't? We'd live a very negative existence because there is good and bad everywhere and when we choose to focus on the bad, then that's almost all that we see. The positives are there too, and it's not a trick to focus on them. We cannot know all, and so our perception is never true, anyway. It's always skewed by what we know, what we learn, what we understand of it. So, we accept that we cannot know the whole truth of our lives and those around us... and we choose to focus on the positives, on hope. That's what pulls us through. That's what gives us the courage and the power to create positives for ourselves and for others around us. That's how we make a difference, and change what might have been negative into something that we can be proud of.
It's not easy to roll with the changes as they come. I think it takes a great deal of courage to accept the negatives that we cannot control, and to set them aside so we can focus on the positives. And, sometimes it all comes so fast that we feel like we're drowning in the negatives, and grasping for positives. But, I've recently experienced the opposite to be true as well... and being carried away on positives can be a bit overwhelming and exhausting, as well. It lands a person in about the same place. We need balance. But, the world doesn't revolve around us, it ebbs and flows and so sometimes we get a lot of negatives or a lot of positives dumped on us at once.
Take heart that life is ever changing. Nothing lasts forever... kind of like our weather. :) Hold on to your hope and look for positives to distract you from the negatives. If you can't control the negatives, if you can't solve them, then any energy you spend on them is not only wasted but focusing your attention on more negatives around you. So, deep breath... remember the positives in your life, and exhale. You are loved, Deb. Now go out there with your imagination open to create the positives you want to see! I hope you experience some unexpected joy today.
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with all that I've taken on and my own limitations being exposed to my neighbors because of it. But, I don't know what they think, or how they feel. And, I'm going to choose to focus on the positives and turn things back around... at least, for me.
