What Are You Feeling Today? Not Thinking, Rather Feeling! Can You Identify Yours?

I'm still very fed up but not so angry, spent the morning with my mum and she was great. I know I have to let go of my pain to heal, I'm finding it hard to let go of it and my feelings. I want to cry but it's like I can't cry over normal things.

Today something strange happened I used my dry grumpy humor and made my hubby laugh, it wasn't meant to but it did,

I slept all of 3 hrs and I'm still in pain but I just have to suck it up I guess, life does go on and I have 4 very special people to fight for:)

(((jo may)))A dry, grumpy humor is better than no humor at all! I know the everyday-ness of pain sucks big time! I think we hold back tears caused by our pain, and maybe it makes it hard to cry for other reasons.

It is very difficult to 'let go'. Takes a LOT of practice and 'tug of war' in your mind.

Very true, the pain is a bummer but it is just something else I have to show no fear, I just wanted to say thank you you have been very sweet to me. ((((hugs))))

(((Jo may))), you are doing an amazing job with your family. Being a parent is so hard. It is so easy to lose your temper, I've been there and done that. I don't know how old your children are, but even from a young age I told mine that Mummy needed some quiet time, and this was way before PTSD. I looked after my girls full time and often my husband worked away.

Maybe try and build in some quiet time, even 5 minutes to do some breathing and grounding. I have constant pain as well and always make sure I take pain meds as needed. I also have a wonderful cherry stone pillow which I heat in the microwave. I then spray it with ylang ylang spray, put it around my neck and relax back. Maybe something like that with your children and read a book together or a DVD, that way you all relax.
