Froggie, that is disappointing. Good thing the flu doesn't last too long!

I think I feel a little better here...I get so tired when I can't sleep and I don't even feel it as tiredness. But I surely was, because I slept for 14 hours after I had a cry, which I had not done for a long time.

I feel nervous about how I'll be while on steroids for an allergic reaction to a tetanus shot. The steroids cause mood swings which I have anyway. So it can make them worse.

LaurieJ, steroids like prednisone have so many different side effects, but you are probably only taking it for a short period of time, and taking less and less every day, correct? So the side effecs should be minimal. Try not to do what I always do, that is, read up on all the side effects, because next thing you know, you have them ALL

Thanks for the response. It is indeed prednisone but the Dr. is giving me 40 mg for 5 days then stopping it. This scares me so I'm calling the office on Monday to see if I should be down dosing off of it. I'll also call my psychiatrist so that they know I'm on it as a heads up in case my mood swings get worse. I've never heard of not down dosing off of it.

I am feeling pretty darn good. Today my daughter is going through the process to get a statement from her therapist stating that she was seeing him for having a emotionally abusive and controlling husband. Take that jerk!

Trying to remain calm and think positive. Going through some really, really, bad money times that I hadn't done for so long. I know it will, eventually, get better. Just getting through it is difficult. Between that and the underlying depression, I am hanging on.

It's hard to describe today...alot of deep stuff is going on. I've slept alot or rather been static alot just resting. I cried. I feel comforted and increasingly resolved in a very slow and tender way. I also feel a little alone with it. I'm coming in to land at trauma ground zero and it's actually quite relieving and long awaited.
