I has those! Not tried crystallised citrus juices, nor seen em around though that's not saying much. Love those oils, tiny little drop has so much flavour!

So, just had prawn stir fry - prawns, onions, pak choi, beansprouts, garlic, ginger n chilli and some oyster sauce and a sorta egg fried quinoa/bulgur cause that's what I had. Anyways delicious.
 
Eggroll and wonton wraps are always on sale here in Ky... so today it's spicy Thai chicken salad in wonton cups, with cucumber salad and nori/miso soup for supper. Kinda gonna be fun to play around with the wraps for a bit and put different things into em.

Also lucked into Dukka so doing a crusted bass for Sunday supper - gonna be experimenting with this spice and maybe find some new North African dishes.
 
Did this one for this morning... but I used ham and 4 eggs with a cup and a 1/3 or so of buttermilk. (totally eliminated the cream and put in about 1/3 cup of softened cream cheese). I also reduced the shredded cheese to about a cup. To thicken I put in about 3-4 tablespoons of tapioca starch (allergic to corn starch but you could do that or just regular flour). I substituted the 96% fat free smallest cubed diced ham and threw in about a table spoon of Tabasco and for kicks and grins threw in a tablespoon of the Dukka spice and about a half cup of fresh parsley and chives. I also elected to do it "crustless" - I only did one to see how it would do so didn't do the double batch thing.

I usually roast corn in its husk, and then sometimes smear over harissa paste (wowza)... or use frozen corn in black bean salads kind of thing... but have needed a bridge for awhile. Fresh corn I’m not roasting, but can just throw at boiling water for a few minutes, and do something with aside from eating plain. Voila. Lovely. Fresh corn salad with scallions & basil.

A version of this is what I'm doin' for the fish dish for supper tonight... this gal is pretty good. I'm doing dukka, tarragon, dill and going easier on the garlic though (with Friday's corn salad recipe and probably some eggs mimosa - artichoke tamponade stuffed eggs) tonight. Bass or snapper... no big difference in the basic theory I figure. I think though I'm gonna do some capers and black/green chopped olives instead of the salt.

Tofu goes on sale all the time too... so I reduce or eliminate entirely the meat in soups or stews and use it cubed or pureed to thicken and boost the protein instead of animal fats. Trying to find new ways to use it as 8 ounces easily serves 3-6.
