This album was recorded in theater, during combat operations. Recorded in a makeshift studio in Baghdad BIAP. Recorded between raids, air assaults, funerals and patrols.

I find that the album encapsulates almost every feeling I have about that war. Some are good and some are bad. This group covers it all....recording it live...as it happened to them. Raw? Is an understatement.

I say again: Heavy Trigger Warnings for the combat PTSD crowd.

Maybe be in your safe space for this, if you’re not familiar with this group? It’s honest to a fault. It can be shocking...even 13 years later.

That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t contain lots of therapeutic value. I certainly find “the truth” in this art, very liberating. Maybe even cathartic.
