These viruses start in animals. Zoonotic origins of human coronavirusesI wasn't accounting for every corona virus ever identified & only relating to human beings. :banghead::wtf:
They also are researched in animals, with animals, and not just humans.
It's not a study of the human ones here and the animal ones over here and there is no overlap. To understand this virus and how to stop these viruses, one has to deal with their zoonotic origins. Also, animal science is faster, so I would not advocate we ignore it.
It's like asking to study swine flu but ignore the swine part. This coronavirus is essentially bat flu. MERS was camel flu.
