It was true; it's not true anymore. They were active in the US from April through October (2020); they've since wrapped up their programs here and don't currently have plans to start new ones.

Thank you for this! I read 4 different articles that were all dated this week -- which is really disturbing.

The company I work for just mailed everyone web cams and said we had to dress business casual even at home. I think we are going to be working at home for a while. They haven't said permanently and I don't think it will be permanently as we don't have a work at home department and they are pulling some people in. But this apparently is going to be a long time.

I meant to say that we would be dealing with the high rates without a vaccine or real treatment for the most of us thru 2022. Yes it will be around long after I am gone. Makes me so sad for our kids. Tonight, on a trip to walmart for necessities, we decided to run into a Japanese restaurant and order to go food. The sign on the door said that you must have a mask on until you are seated. In the lobby we ordered. Then they escorted my husband to another station to pay in advance. The was a couple and a single man (all young) sitting and I guess waiting to be seated....none of them had masks on. I asked the hostess why their policy said this but patrons are not wearing them. She said, well that's a really good question, then picked up a packet of masks and offered all of them one and they all put them on. This is how it is around here. The parking lots are jammed packed at all the restaurants. It is as if nothing is going on with the pandemic. I am just sickened by the selfishness.

That's how it is here in Central Florida as well. Many refusing to wear a mask, stores not enforcing their own policies, and people walk up to you or walk past you within inches almost touching you.

Also, people are gathering in large groups without masks. Kids also aren't being told of what's going on and I get that you don't want to make your child worried but at least tell them enough for them to protect themselves. You don't need to tell them that people are dying. Just that you don't want them to get sick. Most kids around here aren't wearing masks and are running around in very large groups and my gut tells me that's not a good thing.

Our numbers are going up rapidly. I now know people who have been sick with the virus. These are healthy individuals without any prior health issues.

One friend was in hospital for a month. Intubated. He is home now and still weak. Another friend is in hospital now and diagnosed with covid pneumonia. He is very sick. His wife says she'll be first in line for the vaccine when a month ago she didn't think it was all that serious.

I also know people who were sick for a day or two and recovered quickly.

I believe we are heading for another lockdown this week. I work in the automotive industry and we are making an abundance of parts just in case.

Our govenor spoke on Friday and has discouraged holiday get togethers. Wear masks. Wash hands. Social distance. She tried to mandate signing your name at restaurants for contact tracing. That went over like a lead balloon. Everyone was signing her name and giving her phone number.

We also heard that our truckers are going to strike starting Thanksgiving weekend so I have stocked up on supplies this time around. Stocked the freezer and pantry to capacity. Dad heard some states won't be selling booze during lockdown so I also bought a few cases of beer and a few bottles of liquor.

Our governor has mandated mask wearing in indoor places (grocery stores, restaurants, etc) except while eating and drinking. He says he can enforce it and the police will arrest and charge person with obstruction. Im sure it is more to fine businesses that allow the anti maskers to continue. Someone told me the businesses will be fined. We may end up with a lockdown if things dont change. This is WV and numbers are climbing. We also have a shortage of hospitals in many areas because of closings last year. This is all very emotionally taxing, at least for me. We follow recommended guidelines and hope for the best. Severe boredom but not feeling poor me or anything. I know to just suck it up, but I feel like cleaning or decorating and loose interest and just quit for the day. Gotta accept our own feelings and cut ourselves some slack right now I think. I also heard of the truckers strike, and saw toilet paper shelves are low again. Not a good sign.

Masks are mandatory here but cases are still climbing. I'm so sick of this virus!! It's kicking my mental health, bad. It has affected my business and just needs to be gone!!

People are also panic buying again. Didn't learn the first time!

I feel lucky to have gotten a good stock of food, dog food, bleach, hand sanitizer, soap and other household items as well as toilet paper. All I did was buy one of each when I saw it as well as a few cans of this and that. I bought toilet paper 4 pack, two at a time as was allowed each time I went to the store, and then a 4 single packs which is enough by itself for 6 months or more but I also bought 48 roll pack online. I also got portable bidets (came in a two pack) and cut up fabric to use as well. I have enough food to last 4 or 5 maybe 6 months if needed. Tho will be going to the store sooner so I don't have to crack into my stock pile of canned food but still. People need to learn the first time around.

Some US aid insurance programs are going to end at the end of December 2020. No word of getting renewed yet. So that puts more people at risk for covid and no insurance ( like the insurance mess of 2017).The government unemployment aid is also running out then. ( PUA)
