Worried - Friend Diagnosed with Hodgkins

:rolleyes: my daughter in law also my freind who died. daughter is also a very close freind in my life has just been told she has hodgkins and it's growing in her lungs because she was too afraid to take the steps to get help until I stepped in as a freind and mother and got her to the hospital now I'm scared I have two of my grandkids with me now 12 and 9 her other half has his two with him 4 and 20 months they are my grandkids too. I pray I have the old me come through and be the strenght this family need to get survive this

I'm glad you stepped in to help Sally. The good news is, Hodgkins Lymphoma has one of the highest cure rates of all cancer, something like 96% I believe. But I'm not sure about it growing in her lungs... has it metastisized? That's not so good if it has. Either way though it's very scary and difficult. I'm a cancer survivor myself, and I will be thinking about you and your family.

Sally there are two types of hodgkins...non-hodgkins and hodgkins. One of then has a very high success rate. if you google this it will explain more but you need to make sure you have all the facts. I know it is hard not to panick but knowing for certain is always helpful.

A little boy in my sons class had (and i can't remember if it was hodgkins or non-hodgkins lymphoma) Anyway..this little guy had chemo and i am not sure if he had radiation too but he is symptom free now 2 and a half years later.

I am sorry you are dealing with this...I have only had 2 hours sleep or I would look it up fpr you but I am dizzy I am so tired.
