You Know You Have PTSD When...

... You don't notice the huge growling engine noise taking up all the airspace in a glorious fine morning, until they shut off; because your headspace included -entirely different- engines, in an entirely different time and place. Aaaaargh. The silence is deafening. Bring my engines back!
>.<

Ctd from above ((You're not being sarcastic when you ask your neighbor to keep working on their car at 6am in the morning on Sunday, because you really need to sleep. :p The growling. The clanging metal. Please. Please just bring it back. They do not appear convinced. No really. It's soothing.... Aaaaand Imma either about be beat up by bikers or asked out on a date.))

You know you are f*cked when capital T trauma is the least of your problems.

For f*ck sake I want to go back to my children. They're all dead so that spells Home.

... But you stay for a bird that liked your camp fire, and a flower you're hellbent on keeping safe. Because it's what you do, protect someone, right? I can manage with a bird. Maybe. Big maybe.

When you'd be on that ceiling, saying hello, and that reversal cracks you up hard. ;D

On a more serious note: When you can't remember what helps anxiety, as too anxious. Mix of faces and moves and thoughts don't help it. A-ha. Meds. Benzos, for all I hate you, right now I love you. I'm super super calm, that isn't a crisis is it? .... Right, my walking all off apparently means it is. Magic pills and magic fixes.
