You Know You Have PTSD When...

You know you have PTSD when you can't do about half a dozen yoga poses in class without having FBs to 37 years ago ... even though it's a special trauma-focused yoga class for depression & anxiety! And when you are supposed to be resting in Savasana is when your hypervig really kicks in and you start hyperventilating and crying and freaking out if the therapist/yoga teacher gets too close.

Still a damn good class, though.
 
When you're ridiculously proud of yourself for being able to answer a series of questions, & want to post that to accomplishments and success.

But you have a 'How did I get here?' moment about that mindset. So things to figure first, and uphold first. A.k.a. you're really good with minimizing every recovery success you have. :facepalm:
 
When you need to incorporate your isolating (& need for freedom) into both work / education routines and personal life.

If there's no space for it, you're ditching whatever you've been up to, save for loyalty.
 
First : Accept bizarre premise that only 1 light is allowed to be on, per person, at a time.

Then : Try and explain to person angry at you for sitting in the dark why "your" light is on in the next room over. Without using the words "I like to see what's coming at me, but am not too keen on them seeing me."

Wheeeeeeee.

I'll sit in the dark if I want to, dammit. That's my light. Over there. Lemme have 2 lights, and I'll turn on this one. Nope! DO NOT turn off that one. <narrows eyes> I meet your bizarre f*cking rules, and raise them, with sheer obstinacy. If I only get one light? It's that one. And, yes, if you shut that one off and wait for me to turn this one on, I'll just sit here. Indefinitely. See? Ya turned the light back on. Shut it off as you leave the other room? Fine. I've got legs. And I'm allowed 1 light. And that one's mine. :p Aaaaaaaand it's on again.
