You Know You Have PTSD When...

Ok - I'm going to put my own spin on this one:

You know that you are an architect intern with PTSD when you haven't spoken to most of your family in 10 years and never seem to have the time to see them but you have had the same pencil case and lead holders for 14 years. In other words, your life is in shambles but the important thing is the exact location and condition of your pencils and pens, lined up in order, clean, sharp, stacks of graphite at the ready, a perfect example of the order that you do not have in your life.

LOL eqlizer. Some days are like that.

... when you suddenly realize you haven't signed onto MSN in six months and you haven't even thought about it since then. You only vaguely remember deleting the account, and then you start to wonder what happened to the nice people on your friends list who you used to go to clubs with.

... when you're a student who decides that this semester you're going to actually meet people who share your interests. Someone you recognize from the Biology council and your night class elective sits next to you on the last day of psych class. This person looks approachable. When the class ends, this person smiles at you. You can see they're wearing three band pins, and those are three of your favourite musicians. Instead of saying hi, you think "What are the chances of that?", and you bolt.

... when you can talk yourself out of anything that interests you.

You know you have PTSD when:

Being "in a mood" is probably momentary.
Your "mood ring" melts the minute it hits your skin.
Being "in the mood" is like Christmas since it seems to happen once a year.
Mood emoticons should run like a slide show under your avatar.
Being "moody" is the best description since it is to hard to type or say: happy, sad, depressed, anxious, scared, etc. in a five minute period.
