You Know You Have PTSD When...

@Ellabella44 ((((hugs))))

When it is OK to have a meltdown because we are part of the Candle Tribe. :clown: Pick your favorite colors, scent and be proud to be you.

th (1).webp We are not alone.:hug:

@Recovery4Me when you are a proud member of the Candle Tribe.

@Cashew everyone needs a rainbow candle. To brighten our days/ nights, to celebrate the colors of our strengths, and when that strength fails to melt down and rebuild a new candle from several meltdowns.

When you pour the "wax" from this latest meltdown into a mold to create something new. Be it a candle or crayons, its still something useful.

- After being put on medicine you keep a small trash bin next to bed to vomit into because you are tired of cleaning sink. At first didn't make connection between medicine, withdrawals and vomiting.
- When you lose all desire to eat - because it probably won't stay down. So you force yourself to eat a small amount of nuts, or 2 tablespoons of granola mix. You consider that successful.

And I rarely vomited before being put on medicine for ptsd and anxiety.

I got nominated to be on a church committee and accepted. Then in the actual first meeting I attended, I hardly said a word. I felt so inept and that my opinions were either meaningless or I was so confused as to what I was supposed to do, that I basically did nothing. Our leader said at the end of the meeting, "Sheila, you hardly said a thing during our whole meeting." Then I had nightmares all night, because I was such a failure!
