You Know You Have PTSD When...

I make piercing eye contact and it makes people uncomfortable. I know I have learned this to have 'power'. To know if someone is not being honest, ect. If you notice, in our world today, not a lot of people make eye contact.. I like it when someone looks me in the eye.

But now I just want to be isolated, and don't want people to see how unhealthy I am....especially those living in same building.

@Ocean5, I am so sorry that you are feeling shame (if that is part of it) and vulnerable. I hate feeling vulnerable, and will avoid it all cost. Especially when I am feeling 'fragile'. I try to hide that part of me but not necessarily isolate. but I do understand. You are not alone in this feeling. And I hope something breaks loose, switches over , or calms down... what ever is needed...:hug: if accepted.

@ladee I'm also recovering from a major illness, recently moved to completely new area. Just makes it harder. Thanks for hugs. :)

Heather, I don't know if this is any help at all, but the last time I felt that way, it turned out that the decision I'd made in the first place was the right one after all.

When you realize that your a grandmother and STILL financially dependant on your parents. I'm so lucky to have them help me still with heat, food, transportation and emotional support. I wish I could do it by myself, I'm tired of being a parasite! After they pass H and I will probably have to move into a cardboard box.
