You Know You Spend To Much Time On Ptsd Boards

Okay it means you "have their back" or "better watch your back around that person (because person is mean and backstabbing)- because imagine there is a clock - than your front is twelve o'clock, a little bit to you right is one o'clock, somewhat more to your right two o'clock, right of you three o'clock, right and behind you four o'clock and behind you on the right side five o'clock and your back is six o'clock and so on, know what I mean?
The experession "have a persons back" is common in the english language and you know what it means, isn't it?

*lol* Cause I noticed many people on this boards talk about having a persons six. So what did you think they were talking about and what did you think it was all about when a person told you he or she has your six?

I've never come across it here to be honest! No one's ever said it to me. I guess I don't tend to respond to many military threads though. It's a military thing rather than a general PTSD thing. More likely to be used between people who have military connections?

Than let me say it. We have you six @digger. I read a few of the things you wrote and you have some OCD symptoms like my hubby and when you need advice and I am here and can help I will gladly do that if I can :) and since everybody inthis community has each others six if I can't somebody else sure will :)

@Lemontree ETA and AWOL are pretty common phrases where I have lived in the US. "Got your six" is more common in places with higher vet populations in my experience. I have always used the phrase FUBAR, but I don't know if it's military or just a thing.

I love FUBAR!!!!! I think it started out as a military thing but some people know what it means. There could probably be a book written with all the different acronyms.

@Lemontree - yup - I've got the "ack (short for acknowledged - as in message received). will do" replies down pat, but I've even got to the point where I'll be in a crowd and call out 'clearline" and then when they don't move I'll mutter "stupid civvies" under my breath! :(
