Cold At Night, Wake To Hot Flashes

I think this is worse since I got off of Xanax, so likely worsened by withdrawal. But I can't get warm at night and then wake to hot flashes all morning.

I have always had chills and cold hands and feet due to anxiety.

Does anyone else experience this with PMS? I am guessing it's because I'm 39.

Three years ago, I would have night sweats, unexplained to me as I had many years ago, a full and complete hysterectomy and never had hot flashes so I consider myself lucky. I too get cold at night.

Soon someone will come along who can better be of assistance to you.

I am 38, and go through the same thing (though mostly I am hot in a cold room), but I do get cold very easily. They are treating it as pre-menopause.
It would be a good idea to talk this over with your doctor/ob, it could be withdrawal, but they might want to have your thyroid and hormones tested just to make sure that they aren't missing something.

Well, I know some meds can cause this. I am 52, have those symptoms too currently due to my age obviously. But I am taking magnesium and that can cause flushing where there is intense body heat.

I have this thing where I'll be freezing cold, but still sweating at nite. I know my hormones are COMPLETELY jacked, so gonna have to fix this soon. i take Magnesium too, but early during the day. I'm also on thyroid replacement, and adrenal replacement. Need to start taking Pregnenolone again...I'm just a hormonal mess...I'm 33.

I've never had it easy with periods. My 2nd period, I had such bad cramps that I dissociated into a "white out" (could only see white light, no shapes) and walked straight into a concrete wall. I also couldn't stop walking! I fell onto a concrete floor on my face, but was unhurt beyond bruising.

Falling and the pain brought me back and I was "fine." I was 12. I think it was a kind of out of body experience or dissociation, now, based on what I've read lately, due to the pain in my sexual organs triggering my brain back to pre-verbal trauma.

I had the ablation procedure done not because of anemia or pain. It was due to menses actually triggering my PTSD again like the past, causing me to miss days of work in a dissociative fog (not bad enough to walk into walls, so just dissociated.)

After the procedure, the pain and other symptoms are worse. So who knows. I don't want to live at the Dr's. This has been my whole life. It's the trauma. I've been checked so many times and they see nothing wrong. It could be body memories.

@Muse Is it possible that you are starting peri menopause???. I started very young and having similar symptoms.

Well my Doctors all said that it's "just plain old PTSD" getting triggered by anything that reminds me of my trauma. Even though I know the pain and blood are NOT due to trauma, my body does not.
