Hi. I'm Blake and I am a new member and non-military PTSD patient. Thought maybe seeing what others have gone through could help my attempts to recovery. Maybe engaging in conversation and knowing that I am not battling this disease alone could help. I've tried everything from meds to medical marijuana to moving from Michigan to Florida and still can't shake this thing. I look forward to participating in anyway that I can.

Welcome! You will find some really wonderful and supportive people here. Chat is a good way to meet people. It might be hit or miss when people are on. Reading through the forum threads is also very informative.
The people here have been extremely supportive and helpful for me since I've joined and I hope it is the same for you.

Ahhh.....greetings, and welcome! Your post reminds me of the quote, "wherever you go, there you are". I've roamed to so many spaces in this lifetime, even homeless and living out of a trash bag for quite a while, but could never escape myself no matter where I landed, even in some of the nicer spaces most would describe as "paradise", but my thoughts and my memories still remain, raging on inside my head and my heart. This space reminds me I'm not alone and often offers a hand in helping me dig myself up out of a ditch simply be reading the experience of another. Gratitude. May you find the supportive spaces that hug your heart, as well.

Haha. "Wherever you go, there you are." My uncle says that all the time. Roaming this land can be quite a journey. Even living out of a garbage bag tells a thrilling tale. I've been there too. Thank you for your kind welcome.

Jello & welcome to planet assist! That's MY take on this website. I'm new myself & so happy I found a place where I can speak freely!
Happy to see other non military people with PTSD joining in. I have also experienced life on the streets & living in shelters & under bridges. Now I get to grow old in a safer place with the help of government funds. So far, not one person has told me to remove my words or attempted to shame me into submission. I love the internet...WELCOME!:joyful:
