It looks like there has been a new terror attack. Manchester this time.

Sorry, I spaced out and did not look at your flag. I think there are going to be alot of attacks there in England. I think it is dreadful for the people there. I live in California and it is going to be bad here too I am afraid.

No it is so tragic and so sad. I do not think we can become to this sort of thing ever. I keep on thinking of how many peoples lives have been drastically changed because of hatred. It is so sick and twisted in my opinion.

Kind of wishing I hadn't turned the computer on this morning. This is 'on my doorstep' - Manchester is my nearest city. Not that it's okay wherever it happens but, I don't know, just too close to home I guess. Very sad for the people caught up in it.

Oh my god, just looked at the news. My home city, I mean I'm from a wee town outside it but.... This is too close to home. And I fear for Edinburgh as well.

Targeting kids.... Utterly sickening. I'm not sure yet if anyone I know was there, a high chance of it.

Thankfully my friends in Manchester have not been caught up in it. The Arndale Shopping Centre has just been evacuated and a man arrested. The Police are so far being quite cagey about whether the arrest is due to suspected terrorism but so far they're saying the two incidents are not directly linked. Which seems difficult to believe right now

I think we'll see lots of arrests and incidents linked and not linked. I'm in Scotland and saw armed police in my home city this morning - awful state of affairs.

 

[Tornadic Thoughts]

It breaks my heart to see this stuff happen so often and to see so many lives so comfortably snatched away, especially after reading deeper through the years into how many of these so-called terrorism organizations are created, funded, and fueled.

I think it hurts so badly because we simply can't imagine another human being, regardless of their nationality, religious belief, etc. stooping to the level they do in regularly taking innocent lives, be it through blatant violence such as this, or purposeful harm delivered much more subtly and much less dramatically.

No matter how sick we think it is from afar, rest assured, it's much sicker and more twisted than many could ever imagine.

May all those directly affected find peace in their hearts as they work through their stages of overwhelming grief and disbelief.

May we also remember that headlines more often than not only tell the part of the story that sells.
