Sarg...was gonna ask you how familiar you were with the Phoenix facility in the news now. I'm sure this came of no surprise to you and I agree the rest of the damn bureaucrats will get rewarded once they identify a scapegoat to throw to the wolves.

Case in Point. I found out the reason there is no longer a VA in DC is because it was so wrought with inefficiency and corruption they had to close it as a political liability -- too many complaints. So, what did they do? Just close it and move the scumbags to Baltimore which is now an equally piss poor VA location. Stupid shell games...

Someone genius bureaucrats certainly got bonus rewards for that "fix" while the politicians got to claim whatever they wanted as the benefit of their "nothing" work...it is all one disgusting circle jerk

I've written both my Senators & the House rep about a couple issues and they all suck despite their webpages full of claims of supporting vets. On one personal matter, a staffer did respond but it was the military liaison. He screwed up the issue and took it to DoD IG for a BS responses that wasn't even on point. A inside person told me military staffers are just DoD spies inside congress so if you get passed to them then request someone else, like the Vet issues staffer. The military liaison is only gonna cover for DoD.

I honestly believe there can be no solution to any problem until those involved admit that a problem exists. We're not ready for that yet. The country as a whole wants to watch hugs and kisses at the airport as the vets. return home. They want to wave the flag and hear the band on the forth of July, and go home to their ipods and cell phones.

Worse yet they want to believe that anyone who graduated from an ivy league college must know what their talking about. That way they don't have to take the time and trouble to figure things out for themselves.

They want to trust their government because they're afraid to take an honest look at it and those who are a part of it. Until that changes on a huge scale people will continue to listen to fools like Kathleen Belew.

I agree with you SD.

The problem as I see it is that the gov't and all involved are so huge as to be an impossible thing to make positive changes to. My meaning is; the whole thing has to be chucked out and started from scratch. I think we all know what the possibility of that happening is.

But take heart, I do have a suggestion. That is, think small. Help a person with something. Do something in your town or neighborhood. Those are the things that really do change the world.

The Mega Gov't/Media/Colligate/Corporate machine is always set to grind under foot anyone that tries to change anything. I'm not saying don't try; I'm saying do so but in a way that will actually have some true affect. If you help someone take a step forward, you've changed the world my friend. It may not seem so but it is. Don't let it get to you Brother.
