I love the comments, sad but true. I have hope for many things but not where the VA is concerned. After all the years that I've been dealing with them, their corporate mindset is so entrenched that it's just not likely to change.

The one thing that I find most disturbing, personally, is that they are slowly scaling back on treatments for older vets. Lengthening the time between visits and the amount of things that they will do. I find myself in a situation where I will also get back to the 'outside' doctor that I was seeing years ago as I understand the need to 'cover all the bases'. Like it or not, right or not you have to do what best for yourself.

I don't think the douche bags at the top of the ladder understand who they're f*cking with.

If no one had said that they were going to look after me after I got wounded and got out of the service, I'd never have gone looking to the VA for that treatment. But don't offer me something and then think you're going to take it away. That's when I become a psychotic junk yard dog on crack. Ya'll know what I mean.
