Why would anyone do this? Who picks a fight with nuclear weapons?
I looked it up, there are ~162,000 people living in Guam. Why would he deliberately risk those peoples lives? What could possibly be so important that 162,000 people can be considered expendable. That their home can be rendered uninhabitable for centuries?
Bikini Atoll is still dangerously radioactive, everything is full of radioactive caesium.

All so he can look tough to some chubby korean kid with a stupid haircut? Really?

the mute button is proof of the existence of God
I hope he can bring someone near trump back to their senses enough to duct tape the idiot to an office chair and stick him in a closet untill this blows over.

Trump also told reporters today that YES, he is banning all transgender from serving in the service and that plans are being drawn up now to finalize this. He said he's doing the trans a FAVOR as he's doing a FAVOR to the military too!?!?!?!?

REALLY????? I don't give a shit if a person is half dog, if they are willing to fight to keep my country and it's people safe, why the f*ck would you care what or who they are!!!!!! It just blows my f*cking mind!!!

The Korean War (as its called in the US) has never been over. There is an armistice in place, a cease fire if you will, bu no peace treaty. We are technically at war with North Korea now, and have been for decades.
Obama, Bush, Clinton, please come back and FIX this f*cking mess!!!! God, I wish that could happen!!!!!
I'm going to push back a little on this. I mean, I get it. I believe the Trump administration is a dangerous mess. But taking it so far as to ask term limited past presidents to return to power is not warranted, or useful. In regards to North Korea, every past president since the Korean War had the chance to intervene with North Korea in a greater way. They all did what they thought best and here we are. This situation didn't start with Trump coming on the scene, and even if Clinton was in office, it would likely be where it is now. North Korea has been building to this point for decades. It's no surprise. Bush called North Korea Iran and Iraq the "Axis of Evil" and Obama was trying to deal with North Korea and Iran as threats to the US and world peace too.

Trump is stupid to say a few of the things he has said, but Tillerson and others around him are approaching it well, so far. They are tampering down the things Trump is saying - almost like good cop, bad cop, good cop. And asking for past presidents to come back and do something to fix this is asking for a suspension of the constitution. A better option is to ask our current representatives to be involved and help supports measured response to the threats North Korea is making.
@scout86 I've been mulling over this myself. Though I wonder if it may be necessary for North Korea to strike first.
There's no way their allies could ever possibly condone, or attempt to intervene against a US military action after something like that, right?
North Korea's allies include Iran. Iran wants the US eliminated as much as North Korea. China is sort of a frienemy of North Korea. North Korea already has troops in Syria fighting against the US. If North Korea was to strike first, I do believe Iran and a few other nations would follow them to strike the US as well. It would not be just US plus US allies against North Korea.

What would allies of the US do? I don't know. I don't think we have their backing as solidly in the past. Most Americans don't understand how much we are hated. And it's not for the freedom of the US.... but I do think if the US is hit first, we will be in a much stronger position to get support from allies.

I hope the US does not strike first, because we seem to always strike first and it doesn't seem to work out well.

If North Korea uses a nuke on the US first, the US will strike back; and millions will die in hours. Many of them will be in Seoul. The economy would completely destabilize and I'm pretty sure we would be looking at a hot WW3.

If the US strikes first, it will be because the IS is so scared of that cost of North Korea hitting first. If the US strikes first, North Korea will strike back, and...

Both scenarios are terrible.

The one diplomatic option that we really have on the table is to try to convince China to do more to intervene. To his credit, Trump explored that route. To his shame, he's kind to already given up on it. Which it foolish and horrible. I hope and imagine that those around him are still pushing that option heavily.

What I said I wish Clinton, bush and Obama would fix this, it was mere frustration. I know that's not possible. I get what you're saying too. I still think that trying to deal with North Korea through diplomacy is a better way to go! Only because of the nuclear reason. If it wasn't for that, I'd say, bomb the shit out of them and take out the little short guy!!! We can't, simply can't without millions of people dying.

Gah, how much longer is the Republican Congress going to let this mental torture go on? Not only for us but for the world. It doesn't help to not watch the news. I want and need to know what's going on. Hypervigilence, yeah. There is all kinds of evidence to invoke the 25th Amendment. Some have started impeachment bills. So get going already! Yeah, I know they're on "recess," but this should be the first priority when they get back. This is not normal. This is unacceptable. Most of us who saw through him from the beginning could foresee this horrible eventuality, and now it's upon us. And it only took six months for him to get us here. Bravo, asshole. Meh, guess I've gone beyond outrage fatigue to mild outrage fatigue. I'm still not hyper, which is a good thing. I'm just exhausted and looking for signs of active sanity from anyone who has the power to check this ignorant, narc madboy.

I think I have outrage fatigue.

Cause: too much exposure to too many things that cause outrage in any normal human...

And I think I just want to dig a bunker in my back yard and hide this out like a mole.

Some of today's responses here have furthered frustrated me. I don't think we should "bomb the shit" out of anyone ( I understand this is taken out of context apologies @She Cat) , and of course we no longer have the solid backing of allies thus the *wish* for past administration is justified (and by that I mean Obama specifically), especially considering the way said constitution is currently being manipulated.

This is unacceptable. Most of us who saw through him from the beginning could foresee this horrible eventuality,

Yep!

I actually went so far as to email my mom a little while ago, who is still a Trump supporter, to ask her if this is anything like the Cuban Missile Crisis was. I made it clear I didn't want to get into a political argument. I am just curious as to how she, as a Trump supporter and someone who was pregnant with me during, or maybe a few months after, the Cuban Missile Crisis, sees this current situation.

Here's the first part of her response, just in case anyone is interested in a (sort of) ordinary person's memory of that time:

"Yes; I remarked to Kevin [her younger husband] that this feels just like the Cuban Missile Crisis! I remember that well. At that time, Jack Kennedy stood steadfast with our weapons pointed back at Cuba. Grandma, Grandpa and I were nervously watching the tv the whole time. I don't remember that there was any lack of unity in the country; at least nothing like now - and not by my Grandmothers (one a lifelong Republican, and the other not real political but I always assumed she was a Democrat) If my folks spoke to aunts and uncles/cousins they did not share that with me. Watching TV, we cheered when Cuba backed down. Yes, it was scary. But this is not our fault any more than that was our fault. And I am praying. My belief from all I have seen in life, is that you have to face a bully down Hope that remains true. "
