My beautiful lavender Orpington chick will have to be euthanized today. I'm very sad. She had a terrible mother who didn't look out for her. I took her away from her mom but she just cried and cried so I gave her back and her mother left her caught in a fence and didn't sound an alarm or even stay with her.

Thank you, Rain. We have buried her in the backyard and I will plant a fruit tree next to her. We still have 9 chicks, and 1 chick who is really much to old to be with her mom but won't branch out.

Wow, how did I do that? I thought I only posted one of each. The first is the two of them lying on my bed with my son. Together they weigh 300 lbs. The next is Nugget with Sissy, my chicken, and the third is Nugget and her cat Peeper.

I do, @Rain, I was just telling my son how lucky we are. Bella was whining today, and when I asked her what she wanted, she jumped up and danced around. I thought she wanted a snack, so I got her one, and she put the ball she had in her mouth, that I didn't see, into an open drawer and took the snack. When she closes her mouth, you can't see the ball. She used to steal balls at the dog park by doing that.
