Are they any good? They're expensive enough where I'm from but I'm willing to try unless they are a total gimmick for SAD folk...

Never heard of them until this thread and from what I found on google they are marketed for those with seasonal affective disorder not anything else and even then I would be very sceptical

Are you asking about light therapy helping PTSD or SAD (seasonal affective disorder)?
Both really, as one of my main symptoms is depression and it worsens in dark months.

Yes true, very sceptical myself. They are €250.
Have you tried the lamps/lights already?
Never have but am intrigued. I don't know anyone who has, actually.

My mom and I each have a floor lamp and light box. They seem to help! Now they have smaller portable light devices, too.
Oh that's good - they are probably something similar to that. If I come into extra cash I'm going to give them a go and I'll give my verdict.

I picked up a countertop sun light at a thrift store yesterday for $4! It now sits on my kitchen counter. I looked it up online and it goes for $90 new. These things can be so expensive!

Definitely get one of these lights! I’m convinced mine is helping me. I like this small countertop model. My other two, a floor lamp and light box, never got used because I never had a place to put them.

I’d stay away from the glasses....they aren’t as versatile and you’d have to worry about breaking them.

Will look for one, thanks for the advice.
